Any time my Durango sits for a night or so my front brakes like to lock up and set off my ABS under very light pressure, i've noticed it's been doing this over the last 6 months or so. At first I marked it off as moisture on the rotors, but now that it's cold and the humidity has dropped, I am becoming more concerned about it. It all goes away after the brakes get warmed up so maybe it's just me being paranoid over a nonexistent issue. If you require any additional information, simply ask and I will do my best to provide. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

i believe mine do the same. like first drive of the day or cold starts. you apply normal pressure but instead of normal brakes you get the ABS function happening right?i to would like to knwo the solution
Same here 98 slt 5.2 ltr some times both rear wheels sometimes just one. The wife all ways looks at me like its my fault lol. Hopefully we can get this issue solved also have a horrible squeek whzn braking that's pretty consistent.
I have the same issue in the front however I don't have front abs. My front wheels will lock up and skid under almost no pressure. And I'm running 33 inch mud terrains on the factory brake setup which surprises me
its pretty common for the brakes to grab harder on the first stop when its wet out, but mine have never set off the abs, and i actually havnt noticed them doing it lately either so im really not sure what stopped it, however if you keep the rear drums adjusted it lessens the effect
It's not just when its moist out though, and after the brakes get warmed up it goes away and all is normal. But what If I need to brake suddenly before the brakes warm up? I guess i'll just have to hit the little kids running around the neighborhood.

How would you hit them if your brakes are being grabby. If anything you'd stop quicker.
When my brakes work they definitely don't suck. They grab pretty hard and don't lock up. ABS seems to increase braking distance, every time this happens my vehicle always goes halfway into the intersection. Luckily for me it's not a high vehicle traffic spot.
