Does this problem only occur when in reverse?
It could be a bad valve body or shift solenoid or a bad tcm unit.

Unhappy Rack pinion problems

Just had some work done on my 2001 durango.replaced control arms w/ball joints tie ends rods shocks, had rack and pinion replaced at 135,000 now have 160,000. My problem is when I am backing up my front end fills like I just ran over a hose then I hear a pop . Does anyone know what this could be ? Could it be the rack and pinion no leaks ..
