Default Spark Plugs and Timing/Idle

I bought Bosch Platinum OEM plugs. Guy at Advanced said they were going to burn up in 2 weeks because Dodge doesn't like them. Well, I bought them anyways, cause that is what I have run in all my vehicles and never had a problem. So, is he right? Cause since I put those in, it idles rough, in fact, does not even stay running.

The parts guy is right. I had those for a while and my truck (5.2) didn't like them from day 1. They caused misfires, rough running, and bad fuel economy. I replaced them after a short time with champion coppers and have no issues at all with them.

As for your stalling issue it could be those plugs, but a weak battery or IAC could also cause that, but seeing as you've had issues since you put them in I think it's safe to say that's the issue. Stick with the regular copper plugs.

This is what the plugs looked like after a short time:

This thing has 104K miles on it and was not taken care of. The plugs we took out were shot, they were champions, but looked to be the originals. I don't know WHY I didn't listen to the parts guy. BUT... live and learn!

I don't blame you for not listening to the parts guy, MOST of the time the guy (or girl) behind the counter at places like advance, autozone, etc are idiots and don't really know much more than you and are making a guess. This time the person was right, this is one of the rare times this happends.

That is true, they're usually talking out of their asses.

Just to note that the timing on these trucks is computer controled and cannot be adjusted by the user..

These trucks just seem to love the cheap copper plugs. I don't question it, I just embrace it. It seems you've learned this lesson now, as soon as you change out the plugs for coppers your truck should be back to normal. Best of luck.
