headlight switch lumination
#11
Now that you mention it I put a white led bulb into the light in my ash tray, and somehow through the green filter it came out blue. I've been wondering if the same might happen with the instrument cluster, then I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of taking it apart to sand the green filter off of it.
Yes you will have to sand it for most colors.. for whatever reason the headlight switch and the rear wiper/defrost switch came out white when i put in a white LED but, the instrument panel came out bluish/green when i installed white. I had to sand it.. when sanding put very light pressure and stop often to see how much farther you have to go.. you will every easily scrape though the black and wipe the numbers off..
Also, DO NOT try to sand the HVAC plate. the coating are so thin a few swipes of sandpaper and you ruined it.. I bought one from Black Cat Customs that had a red coating on it.. IIRC, it was around $20

I'm probably just going to try blue leds.
