What efan?
I'm trying to decide what efan to put on my Durango, currently on 85* days it overheats when sitting still. It has a small autozone universal 1000cfm fan on it. (was in a pinch at the time. Now I'm looking for my best option for a fan. I have been looking at a gc fan, and also a mark VIII fan. What do you guys think?

I have a taurus 3.8l fan on mine and it has no problem keeping my truck cool in the 110+ days here with the a/c on and idling in traffic. There was a guy recently that went with the grand cherokee fan and he hasn't reported any issues.

I've also got a 180* t-stat. I've also heard that the mark fan is 4000 cfm, while the gc fan I've heard is 2000cfm. I'm getting sick and tired of having my 2 month old in my durango and it overheating in traffic or in drive thru and having to stop and let it cool. Just the other day I sat in a line at McDonald's with it being 85* and a/c on max. It overheated before I made it to the window. I had to park and jump the relay and let the fan cool it for about 10 min... Sucked a$$ considering my baby has to be moving in a car or she screams =\.

The taurus fan runs at ~3750cfm on high speed vs 4000cfm from the mark 8 fan, but it draws significantly less current. I think low speed on the taurus fan is around 1800cfm, but don't hold me to that. I'm pretty sure the grand cherokee fan is was more than 2000cfm also.
I've got a 180 degree thermostat in mine too. I have the low speed set to come on at 185 and kick off at 182, and the high speed is set to come on at 190 and back to low at 185. I don't think it's ever had to go onto the high speed.

IIRC, when i looked it up the stock e-fan was something low like 1200 cfm maybe. If i decided to go for more cooling power ill look into the other fans that where used or look for something from a HD pickup. Right now my truck hold between 180-200F with the 90+ heat we been getting so im not to worried about it at the moment.

Do you still have the mechanical fan or just that 1000cfm one from autozone you mentioned earlier?
