That's because you're 4 speed.. See my mountain mileage is the same as your average

So its the same just I have an extra over drive to yield me those extra mpg when not going up grade.

Yea I tend to get lower gearing in my rigs, even though I rarely tow. Just by chance really, my ram had 4.10s

I'm curious as to what the 2012 ram has. I want to say its a 3.92. I never really looked to be honest.

3.92 is only available in the 1500 ram. 2500 has 3.42, 3.73, and 4.10 depending on the motor. Same goes for the 3500. Now a you can get up to 4.88 in the chassis cab. Believe me having driven many of the ram trucks I'd get the lowest gearing possible. You guys wanna know an honest opinion on a new chrysler, ram, dodge, jeep product let me know. I work at the local dealership and see all the vehicles that come in and out, I wash them lol.

Most likely 3.73. It could have 4.10's in it though. 3.42's were mainly reserved for cummins powered HDs since they had the low end to cruise without downshifting a bunch. I liked the 5.7 in the 2500 but that new 6.4 is even nicer. Much more low end than the 5.7 but way more torque management.

It's a free truck so I don't give a **** what it could be but a 3.72 seems it could be what it rolls with. 4.10 is pretty steep..

I wish it were the cummins though. But hey what can one do.

More torque management just means more potential when tuners come out for them, right? I would think that 6.4 would be a pretty solid tow motor with a little tuning.

Started my Durango this morning in really cold weather. It barely turned over but it started. I can hear ticking noise like it is the lifter or something but not sure if it is or not.
