Opinions Needed on Purchase Attempt!

If the body is in better shape than your current truck then i would personally buy the other truck and swap in your transmission even if you have to do a plenum and a decent tune up on the engine..
By swapping your good transmission, doing a little engine work and either parting out or recycling the metal of your old truck i would be willing to bet you can come away with a nice truck and make enough money to either break even or come out ahead a few bucks...
Also, ask yourself this..... with the cost of the truck $850 plus a plenum $120 and a tune up $100 where else are you gonna get a good running D for roughly $1,100? not to mention you still have another to scrap/part out.

...This is exactly what I was thinking, thanks for the (better) math. This will all work out for me,,but my wife say she rather pay a car note for something better
I didnt argue with her, I just said it'll be our last choice to do. GRRRRR! I just wanna get to start my 96 Ram project...
