Question Rear shafts

Ok, I've checked everything and done every test and I'm pretty sure that my rear shafts are bent. Both rear wheels are wobbling slightly(though the right one wobbles more), which causes the car to vibrate at high speeds...

I wanted to ask you guys which shaft to buy for 5.9 slt+ 4wd.

I've found these, are they the correct ones?

Did you take a dial indicator to the naked flange? Don't buy something just because you think it's the next thing.

What the frell happened? You flying off jumps? My buddies and I beat the crap out of our off-road Jeeps and don't have that problem.

I don't know what happened but it's been like that since I bought the car, must be the previous owner...

It gets worse as it gets hotter. I can feel the car bouncing when I slow down after driving a while. Can't feel it when it is cold. Also the vibration increases as I drive it.

Tried balancing and road force balancing several times before. No use.

It's not the wheels because I swapped them several times and nothing changes. I even checked the wheels with my eyes myself on the lift while my mechanic was spinning them on 4x4 mode. I've noticed that front side is smooth as butter while the rear ones are wobbling... Swapped the front and rear wheels, nothing has changed. Though it's a slight wobbling, not noticable without close examination... But it's there, that's for sure.

After that I made my mechanic check the bearings to see if they were bad... he said bearings are good, no play on them, tight... That only leaves one option, which is the shaft... But I have no idea why both of them are screwed instead of just one...

If it does wind up being bent axle shafts, I'd personally go to the junkyard and get the whole rear end off an 03. It's probably cheaper, and you get an upgrade to rear disc brakes.

i checked those axles from ebay,as long as your running the 9.25 rear axle they will work, sounds like thats the only other thing that can be wrong...

how will I know if I have the 9.25 axle?

and btw, while junkyard idea sounds nice, I wouldn't wanna leave it to chance again... What if it also comes with bent axle shafts?

10 bolts on diff cover = 8.25
12 bolts on diff cover = 9.25

Axle shafts don't just get bent over time, so unless there was rear end damage, it's highly unlikely that they're bent. You'll need to make sure you get the same gear ratio too.

There should be an id tag somewhere on the diff that says which gear ratio you have (3.55 or 3.92)
