2000 Durango, Dash Lights dont go off when vehicle is off.

i just bought this 2000 durango and noticed when i cut the truck off that the dash and other interior lights stay on, headlight swith and ac/heat controls. any help would be great.

I forget if it was 2000 or 2001 where they added the 30 second timeout on the headlights after you shut the key off. So do they shut off after 30 seconds?

dash lights

They don't go off period, key is out of truck and they stay on

Did you turn off the headlight switch?

sounds like a bad headlight switch. It will do that when it is unplugged, like when you tear the dash apart.

Everything shuts off in mine when you unplug the switch.

Only way they go off is if I pull the fuse, but my radio also resets when I pull the fuse
