Default 2 new to me 2002 Dodge Durangos

I'm leaving this forum as of today. I posted something in the for sale section and someone asked a question which I answered. a moderator posted something about not chatting and got kind of s****ty, so I told that person that I didn't like being talked to like that, and they deleted the thread, so I'm out.
this forum is kind of dead anyway, and now I can see why.
To the site owner:
you need to check your moderators, otherwise you might just as well close the site. if you were the mod who deleted my thread, well then, I hope you have a good time here alone.
as for me, I'll go to one of the more reasonable sites and live happily ever after, you enjoy your little sociopathic dictatorship, I'm out!

Its a 45rfe or a 545rfe was added in late 2002. Its the same trans just different tuning for the 5th gear.

Yeah all 4.7s get the 45fre/545rfe which are identical. The best way to tell what's going on would be to pull the heads and take a look. You could trying turning the engine over by hand if you wanted, but if there is something wrong with the timing you aren't going to want to do that.

You could take off the timing covers and check the marks

Were the plugs out when you tried to turn it over? If not and if it has a bad head gasket you could have a cylinder full of coolant and the engine is hydro locked.
