So I bought my durango sat motor blew sun.. Will a 2000 dodge durango motor fit in my 2002..

 

What engine is currently in it and what size engine is in the 2000?

 

Note that some state DMVs won't let you swap an older motor into a vehicle.

 

The 2000 is 4.7 I guess mine is 5.9 360..

 

Completely different. It will fit but not without a lot of other work.

 

OK.. So what other motor can I put in there it has to be a 2002 5.9 can I use like a doge ram 5.9..and how do I know If you my motor is blow..

 

You're the one who said it was blown. What makes you think it's blown? What exactly is blown?

 

Well from reading about the dodge durango the motors blow easy.. So my oil pressure was at 0 and I was driving it and everything shut off and a little smoke came out.. The oil pressure would go up then drop to 0..we replaced the sensor happened again was told by auto zone it's something electronic for the sensor to keep blowing like that.. Truck had oil no sludge in pan..

 

Does it run or not. Describe in detail what has happened and what you have done so far yourself. I can't keep guessing. Need more info.

 

MY battery is dead.. I dont know if it turns on or not I will know this weekend.. Thanks so much for replying to me..
