Default Spare Tire Rack 01 Durango

I live on some rough gravel roads and want to get a 2nd full size spare. My truck has a luggage rack. I'm having a hardtime finding a roof rack that will let me figure out if it will fit my truck or not. Do they make ones that can be secured directly to the luggage rack? I'm on a tight budget (hoping I can stay around $150).

I'd just get a set of five decent tougher tires. Do you really think you'll loose two tires at once? How often do you loose one? I've been going off-road for 20 yrs in really tough stuff with my Jeep (rock crawling, etc.), only carry one spare, never needed two.

Usually two a month per vehicle which can normally be plugged, but yesterday, I had a three inch gash in my side wall just from my daily commute. I learned my lesson and will buy 10 ply next time, but my tires still have over 3/4 tread. We don't have cell service 70% of the time, so no way to call AAA.

I've seen someone with a spare on the roof before. If you do a Google image search on this site you might be able to find it.

I think to be able to give proper advice, we're going to need a GoPro video of the road.

If you do one that goes in the hitch, like this
Amazon.com: CURT 31006 Spare Tire Mount: Automotive Amazon.com: CURT 31006 Spare Tire Mount: Automotive
it will be easier on the back so you don't have to lift it off and on the roof.
