If your shocks were worn out you'd definitely know it.

Ok so I am doing the shackle torsion lift tomorrow.
As per what ROCKSURFER said to buy, I bought the 2" lowering shackle for an 89 Chevy C1500. They look so long.......

And mtndewnut, where did your pics go ?

Okay. NOW, if you can re use the old bolts then do it! if not then get grade 8 everything with some thread lock (Loc-Tite). You will have to drop your spare and remove your trailer hitch if you have one on so you can access the drivers side shackle. Make sure to lift your rig up and put jacks on the frame so you can take the stress off the suspension. You may need to use some force to get the old bolts out. I had to twist the bolt and hit the small end to get the bolts to twist out. Don't forget the washers to shim the extra space out.

Lucky! It took me about 4 hours total, but like I said my bolts were dry so I had to take some time getting them out.

So if I get Superior Automotive lowering shackles (Part # 13-4100) and crank the torsion bars 8 full rotations I will get enough clearance for 32" tires without rubbing or do I have to get a body lift as well?

32" will fit fine with that, 33"s will not

I have 33/10.5x15 with my t/s lift and the only issue is in full turn on the frame.
