Im fixin to do a body lift this spring, get me 3 more inches, so I can get some nice 33x285s or something like that. With the 3.55s though I may only go with 32s.

OK,
Where do I start and how much of the front bumper do I need to cut ?
I can not afford to do the body lift and tires right now, just the tires since I am in need of tires, they come first. SHould I start at the crease/ indent in the middle and cut in an angle out to 1", 2", 3" towards the front?????
Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

if you cannot afford to do it correctly, you should put tires on the truck that fit properly and wait until you have done the lift to put larger tires on (idk how much cutting would need to be done, but i do feel like modifications should be done properly and not hacked in)

If you want to go with a 12.5 wide tire your going to need to cut A LOT if your only going to go with the shackle lift. Before I did my body lift my 10.5s came close to both the bumper and the fender. Very close but never actually rubbed. Your best bet would be to other go with a 33x10.5 or 32x10.5. Like shrps said. Do it right don't hack it together

+2, do the t/s lift with 31x10.50's (the metric=260/70r16). This still looks good, you're running 31.5 now. So why do you want to go any bigger other than looks?

Default 2000 Durango R/T T/S lift

Ok guys, I've been watching this thread for awhile now and finally decided to do the T/S lift on my 2000 R/T. Installation went smooth, left the hitch in and cut the bolt out. Replace all bolts with grade 8's. Took my buddy and me about 45 minutes using the lift at his shop. The R/T's came stock with 275/60/17's, which 17 inch rims really limits your tire choices unless you go BIG. So I dropped to a 16" rim and went with a 265/70/16 Nitto Terra Grappler A/T. I still had to do a bit of trimming on the bumper to eliminate a slight rub while backing up during a turn. Eventually I plan on doing the 3" B/L. But since I did the lift, I am noticing a vibration in the rear of the truck during heavy acceleration, and it rides smooth as a cadillac otherwise. Do any of you have any thoughts on the vibration when i get on the gas. I'm having issues posting pics, so i'll try to get some posted later.
