Cause they aren't built strong enough. It is like plowing through mud or sand all the time, it is a lot of rotational resistance on them from the extra weight of the tire and increased diameter.

Ahh. Thank you. Get it now. Pretty glad someone brought this up. I planned on going with 35s after my 33s were done. Assumed everything could handle it. Replacing my cv axles was a nightmare the first time too. Don't wanna have to do that again.

srch you are correct, chalk that one up to too much booze and lets move on


anything over 31inch tires will prematurely wear out the c/v joints prematurely, 33s will not have too noticeable an effect, but itwill still be there, even 31s will wear them out faster than the 29s which came on the 15inch rims would. As stated above this is because there is alot more rotational mass, make it much harder to keep the tires in place and under control, this issue also affects the steering components in the front.
