Here are the before and after pictures, I got just about exactly what I thought I would get, just about 2 inches.

Rocksurfer... I just got to say this, but how many times did you curse when the jack slipped?

Or maybe it was just me, but either my jack was well lubed or just out to get me. i'd say 5 times on the passenger side..

Jack never moved at all, except a little bit as I started cranking once some tension applied it never moved. I put it in before I undid the shackle bolts to keep the spring loose on the bolts so maybe that's why? Then I just cranked it enough to fit the spring bolt through on the new shackle.

I'm fairly stoopid so i would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me a detailed description of how to crank the T bar. I have no idea where it is, what it looks like, ect. If you have pictures already that would be grand!!!

The T-bars come back from the front end to the frame. There is one coming back from each front wheel and looks like a pipe about 1 1/2 inch and about 3 ft long. Where they attach by the frame there is a cross member. On this cross member are 1 bolt each pointed up with a rocker style end. You will notice that the bolts are not all the way bottomed out hints the reason you take the pressure off the T-bars and crank these bolts up (close to bottoming it out). You need to crank them (turn the bolts) about 8 full turns = 2 inch in height on the front end. These torsion bars are (springs) that hold up the front end. This is done buy twisting the torsion bars with pre-load. When you crank up the torsion it raises the front end.

Then the rear end you look at the rear most part of the leaf spring and you will see the OEM shackel. It is about 2 1/2 inch in height and goes between the leaf spring and the frame mount to aid in movment when flexing. You pull these out and replace them with longer ones giving you the added height in the rear.

Thanks Hydra. I ordered the shackles the other day and they should be here soon. I think i remember reading something about needing washers? Does anybody remember the size and the quantity of the washers?

No problem!

Think they are 1/2 inch SS fender washers to fill the gaps.

What about using torsion keys? has anyone used them or would it even make a difference in the ride quality. i have a 99 that i wanna fit 33's on. thinkin i should do the t/s lift and the 3in body lift for the clearance.
