Was your truck originally equipped with 4 wheel anti-lock brakes? If so, there should be sensors on both front wheels.

Still and all, the ROM Checksum error is a problem with the module. You should be able to get it warranty replaced.

Warranty replaced? like the dealership??? on a 18 year old truck? Not that I don't believe you but my experience with stealerships hasn't been too pleasant.

if you have the error in the new module you just replaced the mfg of the replacement part should replace it under their warranty since it is not working when you received it.

Oh. I follow. Unfortunately the part was used from ebay.

I'm wondering if the unit can be repaired by re-soldering the connections to the module
