Default Hitting Rev limiter

So I have a ‘03 Durango 4.7 L and it has been hitting a rev limiter while in every gear. It gets to 3,500 RPMS and hits it. Plus, it will randomly shut off going down the road. Plus, it has an incredibly hard time taking off. It feels bogged down and the RPMS increase very slowly. Any ideas of the problem? I replaced my ECM module for a brand new one, pre-programmed to fit my specific Durango. Still having the issue though.

sounds like your in limp mode, should be a check engine light for that, hook up a scanner and see what it says.

had the same thing happen a while back after changing a coil pack that was bad. Ended up being a bad connection in the harness going to the coil pack..

OEM Mopar part. Our trucks don't generally care for the aftermarket fellers.

He is correct, it’s OEM Mopar. Bought from advance auto parts
