I've never understood why Chrysler choose to go with six lug wheels on our generation of trucks, only to have bigger/heavier Rams with 5 lugs. Would be nice if I could grab some wheels from a later model Ram, Dakota or Durango, but no dice, they're all five. What was so heavy duty about our trucks that necessitated six lugs? I've yet to see a decent aftermarket wheel that's not an arm & leg.

Thanks for all the input guys. I guess every time I do an oil change I’ll check and see if they need re tightening.

$500 can go to allot more than just wheels or tires. It can fix all of my other things that need to be done on the vehicle.

If you must use them, the suggestion for proper torquing, and some loktite seems like a really good suggestion to me.

The guy who o bought this Durango from a few months ago had ugly chrome 20”s on here. Personally, I think a 20” is too much for this vehicle and second I wasn’t about to go about if the hassle of painting the wheels black because I really hate chrome.

I had wheel spacers on my 2500 ram. Bought them to put on Ford wheels to replace my worn out tires. Seems how the wheels and tires from the Ford were brand new firestones and free, and at the time my budget would only allow spacers. Check the spacers after 50 or so miles. Then recheck them at an oil change. Use the proper torque. I ran them for a couple years, and then bought wheels for my truck. Had no problems with the spacers, even pulled a trailer 3 hours on the interstate at 70mph. Using proper torque is key, over tightening will stretch the wheel stud resulting in failure. Seen it happen on 18 wheelers. Studs sheared off flush with the hub. Only to find out that when I pulled out the torque wrench to torque the new wheels, tires on the truck to have the driver tell me the previous tire guy just used the impact and called it good. Don't be shocked to find a few loose ones when you go to retorque them. After a few times you won't find any.

I'd hit a junk yard for a set of OEM wheels off an appropriate vehicle, Durango or Dakota.

Biggest problem I see is the chevy wheel......your truck is going to want to turn into every trailer park you pass........
