You've still got the three spokes in the middle. You'll need three straps... keeping them close to the center. I'd try a slap hammer before using the tie down ratchet...but first get a spray straw in there and douse it with penetrant. Also, I may be wrong, but you might be able to get a 3 jaw puller in there on the inside of the ring.
Give me about 15 minutes and I will get a pic of the puller on the pulley....
Sorry for the delay....here is the pic of the puller on the balancer. Puller on harmonic balancer View of where the jaws should grab
The silver insert is just to show how the puller will sit. The shaft of the puller would be in the crank.
Trying to do a head gasket replacement but im stuck at the harmonic balancer. Me and a buddy have tried every remover we could find and no luck. Yesterday while trying the pulley on the balancer broke (check pic) dont know what to do now. Any belp would be appreciated Help!!!
im having the same problem how you got yours off..my wont come off..
Taking the crank bolt out first would be a good idea.......
LOL... Looks like he just quoted OP, so the pics are from original thread creation. Would be nice to know what has been tried? I think this thread has all the answers already.
