Default 02 4.7 harmonic balancer removal


Trying to do a head gasket replacement but im stuck at the harmonic balancer. Me and a buddy have tried every remover we could find and no luck. Yesterday while trying the pulley on the balancer broke (check pic) dont know what to do now. Any belp would be appreciated

Help!!!

Are there openings in the pulley itself that you can get jaws from a puller into? Or are there holes you can run bolts into, for that style of puller? Could we get a pic of the front of the damper?

Looks like there is still enough pulley to fit a 2 jaw puller. I assume you can pull the bolt out. Have you sprayed it down with penetrant? Could also try this....

We tried the 2 jaw after it broke and couldnt get it to do anything. That pic is before it broke.

Spray it down with lots of liquid wrench or pb blaster. Knock it with a hammer to loosen it up.

Can you get the bolt broken free???
Removing the radiator will help a TON. I used a 3 jaw puller on mine, used a Makita 1/2" drive impact wrench to pull it off....I can get a pic of the puller if it will help...not sure there is enough meat left to latch on to from the pictures...

Give me about 15 minutes and I will get a pic of the puller on the pulley....
