Default ABS Sensors

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9L 4WD with ABS Light on. How many sensors does this vehicle have and where are they all located.
Thanks for the opportunity to post.

Depends on if you have 2, or 4 wheel abs.

I have no clue on how to tell,
If I have 2 wheel ABS, where would they be?
If I have 4 wheel ABS, where would they be?

Thanks again for letting me know and the opportunity to post.

You should have one sensor on top of the rear differential. PCM uses that one for rear wheel speed, and also vehicle speed.

If you have Four Wheel ABS, there will be a sensor at each front wheel. Generally, they are incorporated into the hub/bearing assembly. If there are sensors there, there will be wires running to them. No wires? Then you have Rear wheel abs only.

Another easy way to tell if you have 2 or 4 wheel, is look under the hood. If you have a motor-controller, that has three of four lines coming OUT of it, that's 4WAL, if you just have a dump valve on the rear brakes line, (an aluminum block with a couple solenoids on it.....) then its RWAL.

If you have 4WAL, you really need to get the codes read, to see what it's whining about.
