Bypass PCM
It's simple, My pcm is most likely the culprit, and I can't afford a used one. How can I bypass the pcm?
how can I wire the injectors so they spray a set amt at the correct piston position at engine start, idle, acceleration and deceleration? I'm not concerned abt hp or all the spray corrections per atmospheric changes provided by the pcm, since after extensive research, it seems that the pcm is the Durango's ONE fault. How do I wire the ignition system so it fires on the correct piston at key start ignition and in the correct sequence after that and in reaction to acceleration?

I've recently learned about mechanical fuel injectors, and I'm considering wiring the CKS and TPS to switches, because that's basically what computers are, a series of interconnected switches.

That's what you're talking about, right? I've seen them as low as $60.00. Brand new, they're at least $600 from Rock Auto.
Check the pick n pull yards for a similar year/engine combination that you have. Roommate swapped a PCM off a '99 5.2 Durango (think it was 99) in to his '99 5.9 Durango and its been running fine.
