Default Durango shuts off when I hit a bump or rough road.

I have a 99 Durango 5.9 that I just had completely overhauled. Runs like a champ but, if I hit a bump the truck gauges spike and I lose power. If I time it right I can punch the gas and it won’t shut off. I’d like to know where to start to find the issue. I know it has to be electrical. I’m going up north in a few weeks and would love to get this fixed before then. Also truck starts right back up when it shuts off.

Loose connection somewhere. You lose power for a bit, and when it comes back, the cluster goes thru its test. Check the main battery connections, from the battery to the PDC, and most certainly to ground.

That’s the only thing that wasn’t replaced was the ground and now that I look at it it’s super dry and old. 👍🏽

Now that I look at it the ground cable was the only cable that wasn’t replaced on the battery connections. It’s pretty dry and old definitely could be the culprit! Thanks!
