Default Tail light/ park lamps not working

Light switch is good still, fuse 14 keeps popping. Checked wiring to license plate it’s still good no short. I don’t know how to get to the tail light wiring nor do I know how to check dash light wiring either. I have the book and can’t seem to find how to access all this wiring. Guess I will be pulling dash here soon if it’s not the tail lights.

Got a trailer harness on there? Find where the trailer harness hits the main rear harness. Make sure everything is good there.

Sorry I forgot to mention that. I actually don’t have one. Read on the forums to check that but my doesn’t even have tow package either.

Leaves that one out then.

Disconnect the rear harness, see if the fuse still blows. That will at least tell you if its the front, or rear, that is causing the issues.

Harness is unplugged and the fuse didn’t pop. So is it the tail light harness on the light or the wiring?

So I got it all figured out. I pulled out the test light and saw I was getting 12v to my grounding unit. I own aftermarket tail lights. Half way plugged in I saw that the 12v was gone. Flipped the plug in to the light plug and no more blowing fuses. Here is a pic of my tail lights. Love them.

The plugs aren't keyed to only go together in the correct way???? That seems like a real oversight.....

But, it's fixed, and that is all that matters.

right, think good for test lights. I just don’t know why nav4pro had it plugged in backwards from the get go. Just letting anyone know who wants aftermarket tail lights check your harnesses!
