Angry What the??

Drove my 2001 Durango yesterday evening and all was fine. This morning it would turn over but not fire up. It usually starts up first turn of the key. I've tried 5 times today to get it to start but it won't. It has a full tank of gas. Any ideas?

Need to find out what's missing, fuel, or spark. What engine in it?

Open the air filter and shoot some starting fluid into the intake. If it fires up and runs a little then dies, you're not getting fuel. If it doesn't fire up, you aren't getting spark. If it's fuel related, try swapping the fuel pump relay with the a/c relay. If it starts then, just get a new relay and put the a/c relay back. Other than that, you'll need to trouble shoot why it isn't getting what it needs. It could be a bad fuse or relay or something more involved.

OK, put in new relays and it started with starter fluid but then died. So I guess it's going to be a new fuel pump. Is this something that is easy to do yourself or is it to the stealership?

Gotta drop the tank to change the pump... which generally means you have a full tank. That makes it REALLY interesting. Verify you are getting power back to the pump though, before condemning it out of hand.

Red face

After it not starting for two days I tried again and it started, which really surprised me. We put a reader into the diagnostic port with a phone app. It said something about a radiator relay. I have had a slow water leak so I'll check that out tomorrow although I did add water last week. was going to have it towed to a repair shop tomorrow. So it starting was a God send.
