98 Durango ABS light no speedometer. Replaced rear speed sensor and OSS sensor still no speedo Anyone have another something to try?

 

Wiring problem. Are you getting a code for no speed sensor input? (check engine light.)

 

Last code I got was for OSS sensor, Replaced it still ABS light and speedo does not work, next thing I was going to do was replace the input speed sensor but I don't know if that will fix it and I can't just keep replacing parts. There are no codes stored.

 

Need to plug in with a scanner, and see if the PCM is getting any indication from the rear speed sensor, that's where the speedo gets its cue. If it ain't working, the ABS will complain about it as well.

 

Scanner doesn't show anything is wrong Will the OSS or input speed sensor affect speedo?

 

Ran scanner nothing shown, would the input speed sensor cause this problem?

 

The PCM isn't getting a speed sensor reading?

I think, technically, it gets it from the ABS module.......

 

How can I check the ABS module?

 

High zoot scanner that can read the abs module, and do functional testing.....

 

I will contact the local dealer to se if they can do this. I know I will have to make an appointment which may take about a week to get in as I live in South Florida and things don't move real fast in this town.
