Default 2003 Durango Stock Radio Won't Shut Off

Hi all, working on fixing up a 2003 R/T Durango. The radio on the car (stock) can be turned on even when the key is "off". I figured it was a clock spring issue, so I replaced that, that wasn't the issue. Anyone have any thoughts on what could cause that?

Erm, you SHOULD be able to turn the radio on when the key is on.... do you mean "off" by any chance??

Ok, that is definitely a problem.

Which Radio do you have? Seems there are three choices there.....

That's an interesting problem. I don't know about a "circuit breaker" in keeping with se, as the radio will use a fuse, placed at the drivers facet sprint when you open the door.

@fcastro I'm just winging it here but I would not be surprised if someone connected the Always On wire with the ACC or Ign wire to be able to listen to the radio without a key or without Ign in Acc or /On Position
I would pull the Cluster Bezel , remove the 2 @ 10 mm bolts securing the radio pull it out a bit and inspect the wiring to see if you can spot a modification to the harness.

Just wanted to update. So I pulled the fuse for the radio 6 months back. So the radio wouldn't be turned on accidentally. Forgot that where I put. So put in a new 10 amp fuse. Later I found the other fuse and it was 20. Now I am not sure if that was the cause of why it was still staying on or not. The guy who owned this truck previously wasn't a car guy to say the least lol. Anyways radio is shutting off not sure how a fuse being wrong would cause that or whether it was an electrical gremlin. I had to uninstall an after market alarm. Pulled all the wire clips and sealed with electric liquid tape.
