Yes, that was what i had to decided too, but i have to keep in mind that nothing fixes it self, also what is most important for me is that i keep on top and ahead of any issues because, i need to catch a problem before it becomes a real problem, it is 25 years old, with over 190,000 miles on it. so i take really good care of it, ya know with basic maintance. and keep my eye out looking for any potential issues that may become a big problem, thank you for your help, and as i tell everyone that if it were not for your help and this forum, i would not have a car, you all have always helped me to fix all the problems i have had and no one has ever steered me in the wrong direction. i really do appreciate this forum and all of you for always successfully helping & telling me how to fix my car. thank you
I drive a 1998 2500, with just under 170K on it, so I FULLY understand where you are coming from.
My '96 Ram 1500 is showing 170,000 but I suspect it's closer to 158,000 to 160,000 because the speedometer has read high for years. When I tore the engine down, the timing chain looked like around 150K on it. My K2500HD has 270,000 miles and my Mazda CX-5 has 110,000. Nothing wrong with high miles if you take care of them.
Then again, my '55 Chrysler has 94,000 and my '89 Olds has 77,000 miles.
Why yes, I do have a full driveway, why do you ask?
