thanks i cant wait to see what it looks like with the bumpers on but they still have some work. Ill post some pics when we refit the hood and fenders.

 

in my defense, not startin ****! just restating the same thing others in this post have already stated. time spent with your dad is fine, but you could have spent time with your dad, spent less money, and got a car that is one solid piece front to back. thats all. you all know i am right. the 2nd gen is just a different hood and front bumper. then drop in the eng and trans. you guys sure are touchy bout the srt-4.

 

^^^ Seats, interior dash cluster, door panels and other stuff are different as well.

 

ha wheels, struts, exhaust, rocker moldings, spoiler, livin loud system, pedal assembly, clutch, tranny w/lsd just to add a few more.
nah its just a second gen. neon with a bumper and a hood.
I guess people just dont understand im 17 years old i get paid 7.50 an hour I dont have the money to go and buy another second gen I am paying for this entire project and thats not what iwanted to do in the first place. Plus why would i swap everything over anyways there is nothing wrong with this one. It just needed some tlc. and if your gonna argue that my car is not strong or its gonna fall apart ill would gladly give it to you if you can get that rear section off other than cutting. imo its as strong or stronger than factory. Everyone is entitled to their opinion some would have swapped into their first gen some would have bought another second gen I stuck with what my dad thought was best and we fixed it for $250 so there and this project will be done in 1 summers work most people on here thought it would take over a year but it didnt and everything is being done properlly no half *** jobs here.

 

I have to agree with das on this. I have seen several people take stuff like a 55 chevy pickup and weild a nova front frame to it and never have a problem with it.

 

how in the hell is buying another second gen cheaper than this fix? does anyone know where i can get a complete second gen for $250?????
