CAN A GAS TANK FROM A 98 NEON FIT A 95NEON

Yes you can, but you will need to change the fuel pump as well. The pump modules and fuel lines are a bit different so get that stuff as well.

i took the old metal tank out of my 95 and put in a plastic one from a 97.......like said,
you need the tank, fuel pump, straps the hold the tank in place, and the plastic fuel line that goes from the tank to the metal line (about 6 inches long, kinda shaped like a spiral)

how many gallons is the 95 tank, the ones wiht 4 lug wheels?

the metal tanks have a tendancy to rust and corrode......unlike the plastic tanks
as far as i know the plastic tanks are 11.2 gallons....but im not sure about the metal ones

it's metal!
Easier to change the fuel pump , but it isn't "better" persay and is a bit smaller. ~10 gallons I think.

I think they started making plastic tanks because of static electricity problems at gas stations. I could ,of course, be wrong though...
