and found a nyg thats a atx
No such thing. 95 NYG ACR's all came with an MTX!
Maybe someone swapped in an atx. That would be the only possiblilty. Now about his question, I was wondering sorta the same thing. If I just got the plug from an mtx what wires would I splice to what an the atx to make the reverse lighst work?

Its not an ACR it a 95 nyg sport coupe. Anyway so from what i understand the black wire in the middle of atx plug i use it from the 3 plug side and loop it back to the yellow and black wire on the clutch assembley right?

hahahahahah oh my bad man, sorry. I dont know why I said that! I fixed it though haha sorry oh and I think what you meant to say is that you take the middle wire whcih is black and yellow and run that to one of the yellow wires on the clutch pedala dn then ground the other yellow wire. But my question is what do you have to do if you want to have both your reverse lights working and also have to press the clutch in to start the car?

From what i understand is the mtx has a 2 plug instead of a 3 plug and you wire the other 2 wires into the 2 plug for the reverse lights to work.On the
mtx and the yellow and black wire just goes from the front of the tranny back to the yellow wire on the clutch assembley.

yeah I think you are right. So I think this right: You have the three wires from the atx plug and the two outer ones connect to the mtx plug wires so that your reverse lights will work and then the middle wire from the atx you connect to one of the yellow wires on the clutch pedal and then the other wire you ground. Is this right? lol Therefore you should have fullw orking reverse lights and have to press that clutch in to start the car.

alright so do any of you have an actual wire diagram for this because all i hear is you guys naming off colors. i have a 97 plymouth neon, and just did the 5speed swap from a 2002 neon. i have the automatic harness pluged in right now. just need some insight. when i go to crank it i get nothing. i know it has to do with the neutral safety switch just want a better explanation
