yeah i know....hopefully it will be running and driving by tomorrow...
the car sounded so mean with those cams in it....maybe i will find a better way to get it fixed so i can eventually put them back in...otherwise maybe i will just buy some #18's and scrap the #14's

 

Congrats spud do you have any idea why it wouldn't start before or did it just start working as soon as you put the harness back on?

 

as soon as i put the harness back on, parts started working again...i just threw the harness on and pugged a few things in then the pcm started buzzing....after i connected the 02 sensor, the fuel pump and cel came on...
i think when i cut some of the un needed wires out of the harness, i may have cut 1 that shouldnt ov been cut...
im getting redy to go out in the garage in a few minuites and mess with the car a bit so i can hopefully drive it this evening

i had it running earlier before i went to work.....it sounds like a whimp without those big cams in it[:@]
but atleast it runs......im not gonna get to take it for a ride today because i still need to go out and get a fan relay, brake light switch, new battery, and a battery tray
i think i am gonnawhat i canfinished up in a bit though

oh and i have to fix an oil leak at the oil filter adapter

im gonna get the crane cam fixed soon and then i will throw them back in...but its no big hurry

 

I know that you have ALLOT of money invested in this, but how much is it just to get a new cam, or do you have to buy both. Oh, and, if you did scrap them, would the #14 work in a SOHC? And would I have to upgrade my springs and retainers? I really need to start modding this thing[:@]

 

dohc's will not work at all in a sohc motor....
if you do get cams then you will need to upgrade the springs and retainers
my grandpa called me this morning and he is gonna fix the cam again...i guess i might not have tightened the cam sprocket enough and when i revved up the motor, the gear kicked on the cam and it broke the pin....
