that all comes down to other mods in my opinion, i cant see spending 600 for a hood and trunk.. maybe if i had my turbo done and it on nitrous but still needed alittle more... but if you think got cf and you are gona be fast, you need slaped... ya your cars 20 pounds lighter, but for the same cash you could of srt4 turboed it and be a ton faster.... but thats my $.02

i would say no in the neons case most of ithas very little weight and you can only get the trunk, hood, fenders and aftermarket mirrors.if they maid bumpers and doors and skirt's i would say maby but if you know where to go you can get the complete body in cf for a hell of a lot of cash and time.one off are a pain in the butt to get done but you could get a wide body while your there.

yeah i think lionheart might have hit the nail on the head.Itwould only be practical if you were only useing the car for racing.

Who whats to ride in a car that doesn't have an interior.

weight loss is weight loss i don't care if it's a dd or not you can still get some good results cf wont to too much unless you have alot srtipping is the bst idea who needs the girly comforts when racing on the street or on the track

everyone should know my opinion by now[:'(]

again,
$1500 to shave off 40lbs just doesnt seem probable to me.......if you absolutely think that weight reduction will make all that much of a difference in a neon then go ahead and rip out all the seats, get rid of the door panel, scrap the spare tire, remove all the interior speakers, toss the spoiler, swap the steel rims with aluminum ones, get rid of the body kitand **** can all the a/c components......right there you lost more then 40lbs and even saved $1500......i just see carbon fiber body panels as being pointless unless you want the looks...
personally i would just stay stock and spend the $1500 on a bigger turbo, or some better engine mods that will give you much better times then 40lbs less and $1500 would ever dream of getting you
