anyone know what the difference is between the two?

yeah the performance is the round poles like the ones on ebay and the type V is a solid piece with holes drilled for lighter weight.

Don't waste your money on a name brand one. They all work the same...just get one from ebay but make sure it's adjustable.

well the Vibrant ones are only $40. so basiclly get a same one from ebay for cheaper but then pay more for shipping and spend about the same. least thats how it normally is lol.

but how can u tell? not that i'm questioning you but honestly, how do u know? is it just by the bolts on both sides?

yeah its by the bolts. the part that connects to your tower is a threaded rod into the bar. you screw it out till they fit snug then tighten the nut. all of em are.
