Default difference between atx tb and mtx tb

how do you tell the difference between a 52mm and a 49mm tb. i went to the junkyard for a cheap upgrade for my mtx neon. so i think i gotta atx tb but how do i tell for sure if this is a atx tb. i kno that the spring is looser on the atx tb but is there any other ways to tell? i have a bunch of number codes inscribed in different parts of it so is there any where i can put these codes to see what is for?

you could tell with a metric ruler or dial caliper.

lol. good thinking. idk if it was off an automatic. the intake manifold and tb was just laying on a neon with the tranny removed. but it did the automatic shifter inside. so im not sure if someone just put the intake on the car cuz they didnt want it or maybe they hadda take it off to remove the tranny so i dont kno if it really is an atx tb.

the mtx throttle body looks kinda like a funnel inside....tapered down to the butterfly...
an atx throttle body has more of a straight through design...

when you get the throttle body off your car, you will deffinately be able to tell the spring difference

heres some pics of after i cleaned it up. it was a 51mm tb then after i degreased its now its a 52mm tb. but will all the sensors hook up right? i was thinkin about just puttin the sensors from my 49 mm tb on the 52 because that way im sure that they are both workin is that a good idea? this tbprolly hasnt been used in years so i figured the sensorsmight not work so should i replace them with the ones on my 49mm? or will it even work like that?theres 2 sensors one i guess is a throttle positioning sensor and the other idk wat it does.

if your positive that your sensors work, then it wouldnt hurt to change them......just to be safe
