gettin tuned?
97 SOHC MTX, is it possible or if it is a good idea to just get theATX ECU tuned to the specs of a MTX ECU? maybe evenDOHCspecs

so i guess either way i need to get a aftermarket pcm from mopar right?

Either that or an AF/x PCM from Howell automotive or use Megasquirt.

i hear around town that i should take it to the dealer n get it reflashed as a mtx ecu and get it upgraded from then on,, possible?

it will probly cost you more to get it flashed at the dealer, if they even do it, than to buy a used MTX pcm.
you can get them for around $50 at a junk yard, sometimes less.
find one from an r/t if you can, they have a little more agressive tuning

The dealer will not "flash" the PCM to upgrade it. Thats what the Mopar PCM is for.
