there are somemtx's that have 400hp

Just what I heard, I have no expirence with the Neon Manual

 

You really don't know what you're missing out on....

 

I found a whiteDOHC 5 speed 4 door that I'm trying to get but I'm having some money issues right now [&:]. Hopefully I can pull that through cuz I'd really like a 5 speed Neon especially with the DOHC so I can really put one to the test.

i swapped to a manual cause my autos kept blowing out even a fully rebuilt auto didnt last long and the atx doents have crap for take off but if ur already moving its not bad till u hit 3rd gear then its slow lol.

 

If You let it shift into 3rd Gear at 75mph then yes its slow but not if u hold it in 2nd gearto 95mph (5600Rpm) then it will easily hit 115mph easily.

Sad thing isIn a race you only have 2 useable gears...lol With a Turbo that makes it not asnoticable

Adjust theForward Gears band and you will get nice launches and nice kick down, then the auto will smoke any rice car off the line. the main thing is to not overfill the tranny with fluid then u wont have such a slow launch...

 

how do u adjust the bands to make it lanch better? my autos never help up to anything and i have ase certified for transmissions and he gets more dodge 3 speed trannys that blow than anything else so to me they dont hold much power unless u buy a shift kit and the performace clutch pack from modern performance. thats just my opinion a 4 speed i think would be better than the 3 speed anyways.

The 3 speed has a reputation for being bulletproof and can hold quite a bit of power. Most people just don't know how to use them correctly.
