Sorry if this question has been asked a million times before.
What parts do I need to swap out the sohc motor in my 1st gen with a dohc from a first gen?

Chances are if your talking about swapping a DOHC head onto a SOHC block with performance in mind you are certainly being counter productive because you will lower the compression and have worse power than a SOHC running 85 bio fuel and by then you mine as well have kept your SOHC engine in.
The only time that swap would be worth it is if your SOHC head was cracked or fkd up somehow.

I'm not looking to swap for power at the moment. I want to swap because my motor is on it's way out. If I'm going to go through the trouble of doing the swap I might as well swap to a DOHC as it seems power modifiers are easier to obtain than SOHC parts.
That being said...If I swaped in another SOHC with DOHC heads will I still need to change the wiring harness and will a DOHC turbo setup than fit on the motor?

You gave up on the SOHC. The DOHC is a good enigine but I wouldn't swap, because both engines have about the same potential.

only remember that it wouldnt be to wise to swap a dohc head on a sohc block if you dont end up going turbo since the lower compression will drop your N/A power
