the turbo is connected to the exhaust manifold....as stated alredy the exhasut air turns the turbine inside the turbo......on the other end of the turbine shaft is what looks like a propellor.......its on the left side in that pic.....well, an air filter hooks onto that propellor port....so it sucks air in there, the propellor turns the air and shoots it out of the turbo (the port on the bottom)....when the intercooler pipe is hooked onto the bottom port of the turbo then the air goes from the turbo....into the pipe....follows it to the intercooler....out of the intercooler....through more pipe....then to the throttle body...

basically a turbo is powered off of the exhaust gasses.......the more exhaust gasses, the fasted the turbine spins.....therefor the more air that goes into the throttle body....
isnt that saying the air coming out of the ehxuast manifold goes back into the intercooler?

no, no exuast fuems at all go into your intake or your intercooler, witch is connected to your intake. When the exuast gas leaves the head it goes into a turbo manifold. it comes out of the manifold to one side we will call it side oneof the turbo and spins a little wheel and then leaves thesame side (side 1)of the turbo out the exaust pipes. now the wheel that those gasses spin (side1)has a shaft on it that goes to other side of the turbowe will call this side 2witch has its own wheel. When the exuast spins the one wheel (side 1)the other wheel in the turbo spins (side 2). Clean air comes threw a filter and some piping into side 2 gets compressed by side 2's wheel and then, gets routed to your intercooler and then into your intake, where the now colder denser air creates more horsepower.

post whoring??

but yeah ill check that out on the website

the picture just confused me for some reason i always just thought of the turbo hooking up to the tb...

but if you have a turbo that blows by it self then you just hook to tb right??

i saw one in a magazine it was only $300 but you could only run it for like 30 minutes and it was minimul gains like 30-50 i think something like that
