so this is what i've decided to do with my tax return. skip the wheels and stereo system. i'm gonna buy a 2.4 off a wrecked cruiser strip it down, bore the block, rebalance the crankshaft, port and polish cylinder heads with oversized valves. moderns bottom end kit for the 2.4 with low compression pistons and there top end kit with the #14 camshaft. thats just internals. external i'm gonna get a aluminum flywheel, clutch upgrade, msd ignition, turbo of course and i'm gonna look into the MS it see what thats about, oh and all the gauges and boost control with high and low boost. then i'm goona get wheels cause i'll need them then. but this is all over a period of a few months since i can't spen my whole tax return on this project. so what do you guys think and any suggestions???

Kinda don't make sence to swap for a 10hp gain. Sounds like alot of work for BS. 2.4 has more potential once built up but pretty much a waste of time in stock form.

I'd say skip the wheels and put money into something like suspension or brakes. Even an upgraded tranny would be a better idea. Who cares if it looks cool, so long as it can run. Besides, if you blow your tranny, no one is going to care what the wheels look like. If it were me, I wouldn't worry anything about the exterior of the car until you get ALL (brakes, suspention, tranny, etc.) done.
