I'm getting a turbo for my car 98 manual this winter. the guy said i didnt have to replace anything in my engine as long as i used a 9 shot. is this true. i dont know much of anything about turbos and i am just making sure that everything will be ok.

A 9 shot? Do you mean only run 9psi of boost? But yeah, I've heard the motor can handle around that amount of boost without doing anything extra to the motor.

You'll be fine on 8-10 pounds of boost on stock internals.

I do however strongly suggest a cam and valve springs regardless.

Do you have a DOHC or a SOHC?

A 14 is a very aggressive cam. Its great for turbos. The 12 is fairly aggressive but its more of a streetable cam.

Yes. But be prepared to break stuff with the 14 with your current setup. Its very aggressive and lopey.
