Ok first off I came accross this on another forum and spent about an hour and a half looking threw this... And I know the general concensous on Electric superchargers but first watch this vidio...

I know its a honda but that gauge right there is a boost gauge and the supercharger is set to 6 psi and you can clearly see the gauge go up to 6 psi... they claim it can go to 8psi... with no mods they send some "eprom" with it to prevent your motor from running lean... however I have sent them an email asking them about what they would send with a neon concidering a neons pcm is not servicable in this way... like hondas are...

Secondly go to there forum and look in the dyno section and look at the dyno sheets from a guy with a sentra sould be the only topic there... he got a 60hp gain...

I dont know about this but I read threw there entire forum not to big yet. but theres lots of guys that have had success with this thing and if the vidio dont prove it and the dyno dont prove it I dont know what does...

It only cost 110bucks shipped... God so tempting...

you know i dident even realize that the motor wasent running...

however and im not trying to start an arguement, more of a question....

our motors pull -.7 bar of vac at idle witch translates ruffly into 3.x psi... so would you take the 8psi that it pushes and subtract the 3psi that it has to build to overcome the normal vac. or does it work that way....

ether way you would still have to go out and by a missing link if it does indeed build boost in our cars...

These are BS, They spin at 4500 Rpm max and if you are lucky would only put out 2 or 3 psi, Turbo's spin at 150,000-200,000 Rpm to make 7Psi+. Sounds like BS now eh?

 

^^ very much agree, i had a kid with a saturn that thought he was the ****, one, i smoked him (of course) and two he burn the thing up, not sure if he did not wire it corectly or what, but it burn up in about two-three weeks

 

just do it for the hell of it. the damn thing will break before it ever hurts your engine. so why not....or you can give me the money and i will try it. since im rebuilding mine anyways

 

by the way all that electric supercharger is a vacuum cleaner someone asked about it in the caravan forum a few days ago and the link to the supercharger showed the vacuum cleaner its one of those bullet shaped ones what a joke I mean in theory it would work but in reality it doesn't the vacuum can't generate enough volume at full throttle

 

you know looking into this more and the fact the the car is not running in the vidio makes this not so tempting... lol...
