Default I REALLY need some help here guys...

I have fuel to the rail...
I have crank...

I have no injector pulse....
I have no spark....

Resistance testing on the coil confirm it is fine...

The ASD relay is not energizing... It does for about 1 or 2 seconds, then stops.

I swapped it with a known good relay, and it still isn't energizing.

I really need some help here guys... me and my wife are both in college, and I just don't have the money to take this thing to the shop... We have replaced the cam and crank sensors... I am decent mechanic, and I just can't figure this out... please help!!!

I would say its either a bad wire or a PCM. What year and motor is the car?

97 dodge neon, 2.0, SOHC...

I replaced the head in the car...
Timing belt...

Put everything back together, and the car would take a couple seconds to crank and start... then it started taking longer and longer... then it wouldn't start at all...

I have rechecked the timing, and all is fine... the motor turns freely...
So I have no clue what it is...

If you need a PCM I have one here from a 1997 SOHC ATX I could give you so you can check it.

I would REALLY appreciate that... I would also mail it back with the amount it costed for you to ship it to me... I just can't think of anything else right now... only other thing is maybe some bad wiring, but I don't know where to start with that...

Thanks again!

That is what I am trying to avoid, replacing more than I already have... I have 10 scrapyards here all offering the same prices on the computers, so I am not worried about it. I am just going to pull the wiring hardness, and go wire to wire, terminal to terminal - using wiring diagrams, and try to find the problem. I have looked for obvious breaks in the wires... but there are none... so it is time to just pull apart the looms. I just wish it didn't come to this, because it is like 30 degrees out, I just don't have the money to pay a mechanic now.

If there were a problem with the computer, would it be apparent when I pull the cover off the computer? Would it be a blown capacitor... or transistor... something seeable?

I pulled the cover off the computer and didn't see anything like that....

I am going to go over all the grounds on the car... and see if I missed something... I only found one wire grounding the motor (on the top end) the one that goes from the passenger side fender well to the back of the head...

Thanks again
Raymond

Have you checked the fewses yet? That would be the best place to start. Don't forget there are 2 locations: under the hood, and the dash next to the driver door.

It could be a loose wire, but I would think its a PCM.

I think I found the problem, I have resistance on some grounds.

The ground are pins 47, 50 and 10. The colors of the wires are B/W, B/T, B/T. Does anyone know where this ground leads so I can check the connection to the body?

I used the negative battery terminal as the ground, and the computer harness end to check for the ground, and got a resistance of .30... )

These are the secondary grounds for the computer...

Thanks

Raymond
