Supercharger woes....
I certainly am supportive of anyone who wants to keep the Neon fire lit by super charging or turbo charging, it don't matter as long as your having fun and the car lives up to your standards and nobody elses.
as far as twin supercharging... to my best knowledge its never been done... its pretty hard to get one in there but I do have an Idea that just floated threw my head to do it... wouldent be to much harder but the radiator would have to go...lets just say somewhere else....Hell I have the whole mounting system allready made out in my head...lol it honestly not hard as long as you know how to weld or know someone that does.... I'll try to draw something up for you so you can understand how to do it... I'm not going to even think about doing that so I'll let you go for that one... lol
lol thanks, just trying to get some info on how the twin charger systems r tuned, i dont think the install will really be that hard, i just think the tuning aspect of it will be..... i am planning on running a t3t4 something smaller.... just to start with, then maybe build it up from there, for 150 dollars that i got the car i am readdy to see what i can do with it, lol
twin charging or having a two stage comprerssion system is only necessary if your trying to reach really high boost numbers. thenyou would have to cool the **** out of the intake charge. The word intercooler actually came from multiple stage compression sytems used on aircarft . Aircraft engines were built with charge air coolers that were installed between multiple stages of supercharging, thus the designation of inter instead of aftercooler.the other down side would be all the parasitic darg on the engine from having to turn two compressors

yeah, i have seen things from hahn that r making a turbo system for the new calbolt ss's... that is where i got the idea from to begin with.....

95to96...I've been away for a long while busy with another job, but just now getting in position can participate again. Partly because I burned up the last build up on my neon sohc and having to go through it again.
This has interested me since the junkyard dog 7 years ago. I would be pretty interested in a 1500$ or so kit if you came up with one. So good luck! Please let us know some performance and driveability after done.
I'm going back to stockish compression this time, so I'd need it to be usable at something other than a 8.5turbo CR.
I LOVE the idea of a supercharger because the low end torque would be awesome.

The Supercharged Cobalts are still faster then any Neon not named an SRT-4....and with their stage 2 kit....can beat most stock SRT-4's pretty well....it just comes down to the driver and the mods really...they're not bad cars, but they should have been turbo to begin with (Cobalts)
The supercharger takes probably at most 20hp. My GTP is supercharged, and it loses about 18hp to the supercharger, but it will run like a raped ape. Especially if I go with a smaller pulley and a reprogrammed PCM.....and it is using the M90 supercharger...

Before my Turbo I was killing Cobalts and Chevys version of the PT Cruiser, I don't even know wtf its called but I see a bowtie and what appears to be a rip off of the PTCruiser body style.
