There is an SS Cobalt, and there is an SS Supercharged Cobalt.....and if you raced a 4dr Cobalt, its not supercharged...
Not to mention, modded Neons were not included in my comment, as modding makes the playing field even...

Before my Turbo I was killing Cobalts and Chevys version of the PT Cruiser, I don't even know wtf its called but I see a bowtie and what appears to be a rip off of the PTCruiser body style.

all depends what kind of cobalt.....
anyways 95-96 are you going to be doing the internals and all that or just putting the supercharger on?
you know I'm not sure at this point what I'm going to do... I come to find out that I'm going to have to have a 1.25 drive ratio to run the original 5psi that I wanted to run while building up a 2nd dohc I have laying around...
and since the crank pulley that I'm using is 8 inches the supercharger pully would have to be 10 inches... thats a mighty big pully...
However when sky made his kit with the m62 he was running 16.5 psi on a stock block with MS and it held together for over 6 months till he sold it to 6sic6 and he rode it hard too...

why not put a vortech style supercharger on instead>?

This is going to be a slow moving build, theres lots of parts and sheet metal I need to get before I can do anything... I have got some and the wife just handed me another 200 yesterday, so it is coming along... I have been thinking about doing avortech v-1 or s-1that came off the 88-93 mustang's just due to the better pulley selection, and i KNOWit flows way to much air for my application but I would need a smaller pulley for my target boost level and the pulley's come in many different styles... ie 3 groove and v belt... just like our power steering and alternator so itwould be easyer then using the hughe2.0 stratus pulley that I have laying around... so yes it still is goingto happen just need more money and parts...
