OK guys i have 96 neon atx basline. i have ntrous maximizer 2, plx r500, mpx pulley kirk headers on the way no cats dohc exhaust and nx nitro kit. car has 60,000 on it it has new rod bearings and headgasket. i want to spray big shot of nitrous and was wondering if i can take the heads off and drop the oil pan and slide the rods and pistons out and replace them with eagle rods and wisco pistons 10.8-1 ratio, possible change the head out with a 500 dollor bare head thats ported from howell and oversized valves bolt it all back up and spray 200 shot of nitrous with the max progressor controler. is that possible to do? and the keith black pistons how much power can they handle vs fordged pistons? and if i raise the comression to 10.8 to 1 will i have to wory about knock because i have stock pcm

 

also i have a 1000 fpr i hooked it up b4 the rail but the presure wont adjust. do i have to run a return line to beable to adjust the presure?? and what presure does the stock fuel -pump push and does the neon have a stock regulator? sumwhere? and wat presure is the fuel injectors saposed to have (stock)? and if i have to run a return on the fuel pump there are 3 fuel line adpters 2 go the the fuel filter and the other is caped. now can i un cap the 3rd one and run the return there if i have to use a return?

 

stock the stock fpr puts out a static 49lbs.

the reason you cant adjust the pressure is becase you will have to remove and plug the stock fpr the the fpr goes after the fuel rail meaning you will have to run a return line.

 

ok i was looknig at the spool boy mod now my fuel pump doesnt look anything like those pumps in the pictures. the regulator isnt on it like they show for the spoolboy mod. my pump has the metal ring around it like in the spoolboy mod it has a plastic ring .here is a pic of mine.

The regulator is on the return line. The stock return. See that silver thing. Yea thats ur filter. The return line off that gets regulated inside the fuel pump. Its a little metal think right inside on the stock return. Its not inside the canister. You cant miss it. Only thing you really need to do is just use a aftermarket fuel filter with no return. Like I did. Then plug off that stock return on the fuel pump. You get that? If not i can take pics for u.

 

The fuel pump in the sppolboy mod pic is off a plastic tank. Thay are different but use the same internal pump. and if my memory is right the stock fpr is the size of a quarter or so.

 

oh ok so ill just get rid of that filter and plug up the holes coming out and put 2 bolk heads with return in to the housing and the feed to the pump and then i have to mod my fuel rail so there is a return becuase my test port is being used for nitrous. now for my orginals questions any one got anser to my post on my internals and stuff??? one last question for the fuel pump. why are every 1 runing -4 return an -6 for feed? shouldnt it be both -6

 

I dont even know. I took parts that needed fittings to link hydraulic they have everything. I didnt even spool boy mod mine. and for my return i used the fitting that plugged off. And then ran the other side of it into the canister. I used stock fuel lines also. I get plenty of fuel now with the walboro in the tank.

 

no do not do that...

you are going to have to remove the fuel pump and remove the fpr witch on a metal tank fuel pump is located "inside" the tank attached to the fuel pump...
