moresurface area is going to be efficient at dissipating heat. airflow thru the heat exchanger is also a large factor with keeping cool. Ultimately with automotive cooling systems the thermostat has the last word with cooling

The only thing I can see blocking air flow is the Condensor from the Air Conditioning. With my new RadiatorI run about 30-35% of my heat gauge which is just enough heat to warm the -25 degree Wisconsin Winterair. I went on a trip last week and was going 90mph on the highway for 120 miles and my gauge never moved from the 35% position on the heat gauge. I had some issues that day with directions and I was consentrating on leaving town to get back to my house 100 miles awaybefore workthat I went cruising 90mph and missed my exit and whenI finally noticed I was 20miles past my exit so I had to race all the way back at almost 100mph to gain my lost distance and the New Radiator never flinched from the 35% position on the heat gauge. So you can see I have alot of confidence in the bigger radiator. I've also heard a few complaints from the small radiator users in the group talks.

If the small mexi radaitor dident do the job they wouldent have put the thing on the car in the first place... and like 12 volt said the thermostat has the last word... so it may have to stay open for an extra 30 seconds to get cool... so what... it still does the job... who cares about anything else.... Plus you get the added benifit of the extra air flow to the block....

Hell, you don't even need a radiator on the freeway
