i bought a tach the other day and the needlewas pointing at 4000 rpms right outta the box ....do u thinkwhen i get it hooked up the needle will fix itself or do i need to exchange it ..i bougth it from summit so it wasnt cheap..heres a pichttp://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...ageID=22400116

 

my autometer was pointing to like 5k and the second i turned the car on it snapped back down to idel... you should be fine...

i agree it probably will take a beatin ..but im the kinda person that builds sumthing i can be proud of...im a perfectionist...i gess ive been told i have a severe case of automotive OCD..haha..but thanks it makes my night that all the hard work has payed off

 

95 to 96 ...the tach hooks into the coilpack right? ...ive never installed one b4 ..but thats wat i understood from the directions

 

when I bought mine I had to get a tack driver for it to work.

 

I know you dont have the original dash... but in a normall neon it is a gray wire with a blue tracer that is located on the right side of the gague cluster...

 

ok well wat am i gonna need to do to hook this thing up ....where does that gray and blue wire run to under the hood because it would be really hard for me to get to it under my dash
