Default chikara vs pacesetter

I was wondering which company made a better header? Chikara or pacesetter. I have a 98 neon Dohc. I have the pacesetter exhaust so i was wondering if it would be best to stick with pacesetter so i'd keep the exhaust the same brand?

I have heard the the pacesetter header is not that good and that the paint will come off in a short period of time if you don't get the armour coated one. I have never heard of Chikara.

Chikara headers are sold on both howell automotive and modern performance. They are also called hedman headers.

Either one of them are equally made CRAPPY! But if ceramic coated they will both last a good amount of time.

What do you think is a good header for a 2002 Neon SOHC?

I have the Kirk racing header, but it eliminates the cat and has to be welded to the cat-back system.

Borla or Magnum Header would be best to retain emmisions equipment and still give a good gain, and both are Stainless steel and will not rust out. LongTubes are the best for power but require re-locating the cat farther down and alot of custom fabing. If you go Long tube you'll need to get it coated to help prevent rot and lower the engine bay temp. AF/x, kirk and Fastfab make the Long tubes.

I second the Kirk. If you can get away with not taking emissions, it is one if the best ways to go.

Well even with the kirk you can pass emmissions, you just have to put a cat at the end of it. It's what i had to do with my AF/x LT and i passed strict Ontario Emmisions testing with flying colours!
